International level track &amp;amp; field athlete (110m<br \/>hurdles). Holder of the following degrees: a) Bachelor\u2019s degree in Physical Education<br \/>(1980), b) Master\u2019s degree in Sport Management (1983), c) Bachelor&amp;#39;s degree in<br \/>International Relations (1992), d) Doctoral degree in International Relations of Sport<br \/>(1996) and e) Diploma in Communication Management (2000). Worked for the Hellenic<br \/>Federation of Track &amp;amp; Field as a technical advisor responsible for the education of coaches<br \/>(1985 &#8211; 1990), and the Hellenic Ministry of Sport as international relations consultant<br \/>(1990 &#8211; 1992). Initiated the Hellenic Association of Sport Management (1993) (president<br \/>until 1999, vice president until 2003, and general secretary until 2013). Attended the<br \/>preparations for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as an official observer of the 2004<br \/>OCOG (July 1998 &#8211; November 2000). Worked as a communication consultant in the<br \/>Athens 2004 OCOG (May 2001 &#8211; May 2002) and as Athens Headquarters Coordinator for<br \/>the United Staes Olympic Committee (January 2003 &#8211; December 2004). Works with the<br \/>International Olympic Academy. Presently he is a Professor at the Department of Physical<br \/>Education &amp;amp; Sport Science, Democritos University of Thrace, Greece, teaching sport<br \/>management, event management and international relations of sport. Authored \/ co-<br \/>authored books on these subjects. Published many articles in Greek and international<br \/>journals.
