It is a discussion about Public Diplomacy @NATO from a practitioners\u2019 perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Public Diplomacy in NATO is about engaging public stakeholders both in building up the image of the organisation and in advocating for the instrumentality of individual operations. As a union of democratic countries public diplomacy is a dimension of the organisation\u2019s accountability.<\/p>\n<p>Public diplomacy is also about community-building in the foreign policy and national security communities, which is a mission also central to the Institute of Strategic and Development Studies (@IDIS). Going into the substance of current debate within this community, there is a discussion over the parallel processes of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and more broadly the distinct processes of consensus-building in NATO and the EU.
