International affairs/relations is a large field that offers many opportunities for advanced degrees and professional development. This session explores different paths to advanced degrees in international affairs and critical professional development opportunities along the way. The session is led by Orfeo Fioretos, Professor of Political Science at Temple University and Greek Diaspora Fellow at Panteion University, and Andreas Gofas, Professor of International Relations at Panteion University and High Council Member at the European University Institute in Florence, who share lessons from the pursuit of advanced degrees in international relations research and details about professional development opportunities that enrich doctoral studies.
