Dr. Afentoulis Langidis, holds a Ph.D degree in International Relations at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
He is an affiliated lecturer in the Department of International European Studies and Peripheral Studies at the Panteion University of Athens, and from 2013 to 2017 has been a regular lecturer of the Department of Turkish and Contemporary Oriental Studies of the University of Athens.
From 1998 to 2001 Dr. Langidis was a research associate of the Crisis Management Committee within the Scientific Staff of the Minister of National Defense.
He is the co-author of the book “Post-Kemalism, Turkey in the 21st Century”. He has been the co-editor of the books: “Turkey in Transition,” “Turkey in the 21st Century”, “The Greek-Turkish Conflict 1955-1996”, “Greece and Turkey after the Cold War”, “Kosovo, the images of War – Contemporary views of militaristic humanism “.
He specializes in Middle East political systems and regimes, and Turkish internal and foreign policy, the political structure and issues relating to the political system of that country.
He speaks English, German and Turkish.
