Why is it that the Global South continues to look on Russia?
It is known that in the West the far-right finds in Russia’s anti-hegemonic narrative inspiration. However, in his interview with Liberal.gr, the Professor of Political Science at Barnard College of Columbia University, Alexander Cooley, reviews the reasons why the Global South – from the Middle East to Latin America – will support or be supportive of Russia. Cooley continues to embody a model of “post-Western” world order that is now more appealing precisely because it is less militarily threatening.
