The Institute of International Relations hosted a briefing on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 on the political evolution of the EU-Israel political relationship.
The Greek Israeli partnership has evolved over the last decade to become a pillar of regional security architecture. For Greece and Cyprus, this partnership has become an independent variable in national security planning. Furthermore, the relationship between Athens, Nicosia and Tel Aviv has European added value, enhancing regional security, energy security, and opening new horizons for commercial and industrial cooperation.
Contributing to a clearer understanding of this added value, the European Leadership Network (ELNET), Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), and the Institute of International Relations in Athens looked more closely on public opinion trends that inform governance in the region.
